A World of Peace

Love and compassion will unlock the door
To a world of peace that's never been seen before.
Labels of religion cause an endless sight
Of wars, hate, and grief that's a never ending plight,
Because everyone believes their religion is right.
"Hey!" said the Protestant, "Don't you know our religion is the way to go?"
"No," said the Catholic with all his might, 'you are wrong and we are right."
Therefore these two religions began to fight.
"How can this be so?" said the Jew, 'You are both wrong." So this religious fight just goes on and on.

Love and compassion
That's the key
To a world of peace and harmony
Then you will see
This messed up world
Will start to grow.
With love and compassion you will be my friend
And not my foe

Therefore there's only one true way to live life
Without love and compassion we cannot survive.
To a world of peace.

They're coming home Hurray! Hurray!

So long I've waited for this day.

The tears I cry will be for joy,

Watching someone's baby boy,

With Oh, such happiness on his face

Kissing and hugging in Mom and Dad's embrace.

Men coming home again

To wives who have been waiting

For what seems so long

Babies in arms, born since Daddy's been gone.

Women soldiers proud to be

A part of setting this world free

Cannot wait to see their loved one's faces

And hold them tight in love's embraces.

Children waiting patiently

For Mom and Dads face to see.

Little ones sleeping with Mommy and Daddy tonight

Not wanting to let them out of their sight.

Fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters,

Together we all pray

For the brave ones not coming home

Reunited in a different way.

As they look down from

Heaven to see

White doves now sleeping peacefully

Our hero's faces glow from up above

To see on Earth such joy and love.

I can feel how sad it must be

To lose your loved one and I pray for thee,

But if they could I'm sure they'd say

I love you and Oh! by the way,

"Dear Mom and Dad, Can't you see

I died for America, the land of the free.

So please don't cry anymore for me

I'm an American and proud to be

I gave my life to keep you free.

So smile, be happy, can't you see

How very pleased that would make me.

I'm so glad to be part of you

And you a part of me

I Love You."
